We are the longest running Chiropractic office in Carroll County, MD. We have been in business since 1985.
Our Doctors of Chiropractic are Dr. Robert J. Ritchie and Dr. Helen C. Ritchie. Drs. Robert and Helen Ritchie both attended Rutgers University where they met in 1978. Both Doctors decided on Chiropractic as their career choice they both attended National College of Chiropractic/National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois; Dr. Bob graduating in 1983 and Dr. Helen in 1984.
After passing National and State Board Exams they decided to move to Maryland because Dr. Helen enjoys the mountains and Dr. Bob enjoys the seashore and Maryland offered a little bit of both.
Selecting Carroll County, they became the 1st Chiropractic practice in Eldersburg/Sykesville, Dr. Helen was 1st female Chiropractor in Carroll County and they became the 3rd and 4th Chiropractors in Carroll County. Currently, they have moved into 1st place at the longest running Chiropractic practice in Carroll County.
In 2010, we will be celebrating 25 years! We were here before Cranberry and Owings Mills Malls were built and we enjoyed shopping at George’s Supermarket, long before Martin’s, Safeway and Food Lion were here, for those that remember.
Our practice uses a unique form of Chiropractic called Chiropractic Biophysics. This form of Chiropractic is corrective care for the spine, much like aligning your teeth with braces, we take before and after x-rays, so you can see the results of your treatments!
Various conditions that patients use Chiropractic for are: headaches/migraines, ear infection symptoms, neck, shoulders/arm, hand pain, mid-back, low back pain, sciatica, hip, leg/knee, and foot pain, also whiplash, and other auto accident related injuries. Patients also utilize Chiropractic for general health well being too. Patients call these alignments and tune ups for their bodies.
If you are new to Chiropractic, we hope that you will make us your first stop. We are still thrilled to share Chiropractic to new patients, young and old.
The office runs by appointment but please feel free to stop in, walk-ins are always welcome.
